Colin Christianson – Pioneer of Live Interactive Video Production
Meet Colin Christianson, the enterprising spirit and Founder & CEO of Tenacious Ventures – a hub of innovation in live video production. With a career that spans from broadcasting for tech moguls to producing a live interactive show from the moon for NASA (For real!). Colin pushes the edges of where media production can go.
In 2009, amidst the throes of recession, Colin spotted the emerging nexus between social media and live streaming. His venture, Tenacious Ventures, quickly became a leader in live interactive webcasting, where he drove forward the abilities for engaging media while expanding the reach for the clients he works with.
Colin’s first challenging live production was his mission to stream out of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere after an emergency aid epidemic post the 2010 earthquake to orchestrate a fundraiser in Texas. When the world faced isolation during the pandemic, Colin’s honed live interactive skills went to new heights. Under his leadership, Tenacious Ventures became the conduit for large live productions, bringing together dispersed audiences in shared experiences that resonated globally.
From streaming Bill Gates to broadcasting events for industry titans like NASA, Microsoft, and Amazon, for the Artemis 1 Callisto mission to the moon, Colin has directed the digital spotlight on pivotal moments in time and human history.
The birth of Tenacious Ventures’ dedicated studio space in Seattle reflects Colin’s inspiration drawn from the iconic Mission Control Rooms of NASA and SpaceX. Here, amidst a symphony of cutting-edge gear and relentless creativity, Colin and his team craft immersive experiences that transcend geographical confines, whether it’s through augmented reality or multi-camera live streams.
Beyond the camera lens, Colin champions the entrepreneurial spirit in Washington’s vibrant start-up ecosystem and empowers non-profits to amplify their outreach through strategic media narratives.
His academic journey, which blends Psychology, Anthropology, and Business Administration, underpins his human-centric approach to media – one that not just tells stories, but weaves communities together.
